    Jakarta is the name of the capital city of the Republic of Indonesia. 

    DKI Jakarta Province is divided into five Administrative City areas and one Administrative Regency,
    namely: Central Jakarta Administrative City with an area of ​​47.90 km2, North Jakarta with an area of ​​142.20 km2, West Jakarta with an area of ​​126.

     To the south and east it is bordered by Depok City, Bogor Regency, Bekasi City and Bekasi Regency, to the west by Tangerang City and Tangerang Regency, and to the north by the Java Sea. Geologically, the entire plain consists of Pleistocene deposits which are found at ±50 m below the ground surface. The southern part consists of an alluvial layer, while the coastal lowlands extend inland for about 10 km. 

    Underneath there is an older layer of sediment that is not visible on the ground surface, because it is completely buried by alluvium deposits. In the northern region, these deposits are found at a depth of 10-25 m, the further south the hard surface gets shallower, up to 8-15 m. In certain parts there is also a hard surface layer of soil with a depth of 40 m. The city of Jakarta generally has a hot climate with a maximum air temperature of around 32.7°C-34.°C during the day, and a minimum air temperature of around 23.8°C-25.4°C at night. 

    The average rainfall throughout the year was 237.96 mm, during the period 2002-2006 the lowest rainfall was 122.0 mm in 2002 and the highest was 267.4 mm in 2005, with humidity levels reaching 73.0-78. 0 percent and the average wind speed reaches 2.2 m/sec-2.5 m/sec.
